Hi Cofty
It heated up late on Wednesday, so the videos aren't up yet.
Should be in part 3 or 4 of Day 7 when uploaded.

i actually started clapping at that point, as his honour explained to the wt type creep sycophantic slithery lawyer that........" i understand that we all have issues to face in life and .....that is a part of life...........however it has become obvious that this man ....is in such a position to assist with this investigation.....".
it boils down to the fact that stewart outright accused the latest witness of misleading the royal commission and this lead to some document searches which led his honour to conclude that they had been protecting mr jackson.
this was a warm and fluffy moment folks.................brilliant stuff!!!!!

this has been posted minutes ago by an australian news reporter.
urgent urgent urgent.
i am a producer at abc television in sydney.

sorry i have to remain completely anonymous about this but you will see why.
i have first hand knowledge that geoffrey jackson of the governing body is staying with his parents in toowoomba, queensland for the next few weeks.
he has already been in australia for a couple of weeks.
Given it's an Australian Government operated Royal Commission, maybe the government media network - the ABC - would be most likely to follow a tip.
Here's a link where you can give them a tip-off.
there's been quite a number newspaper articles quoted over the past week, but i would recommend this as a good summary of the first three days of the royal commission hearing in australia - complete with some scathing commentary.. apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but have not seen this posted previously.. https://www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/law-crime/2015/08/01/royal-commission-examines-jehovah-witnesses-cover/14383512002194.
just one thing that is not quite right is that the article refers to joe bello as a narrogin elder.
the assualts took place while the victim was part of the narrogin congregation.

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but have not seen this posted previously.
Just one thing that is not quite right is that the article refers to Joe Bello as a Narrogin elder. The assualts took place while the victim was part of the Narrogin congregation. I understand Bello was later an elder in another congregation years later when the victim indicated she was considering pursuing some action.

An easy way to download youtube videos is to add 'ss' to the name of the URL
After selecting your video, go up to the name of the link and add 'ss' so that the URL becomes: www.ssyoutube....
This is explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IubsfPD9U9Q

most of you, like me, keep yourself informed as to what's happening in jw-land.
like me, you make it your business to know what's going on.
so i'm wondering why the wtbts is allowing eldubs to appear in these inquiries in australia??
I believe it's the nature of a Royal Commission compared to a usual Court.
The common law (and criminal law) protection against self-incrimination does not apply to those called to give evidence to a Royal Commission. The so-called “coercive powers” of a Royal Commission enables a Commission to compel people to attend and answer questions under oath. Failure to comply with a summons issued by a Royal Commission may result in a fine or in some circumstances, imprisonment.
The same sort of penalties apply if requested documents are withheld.

i have just finished listening to this man jackson.
i remember him well.
he is twisting things around as much as he is allowed.
Just referred again to the accused being the guilty - sympathy being extended to the accused and the guilty.

Mr Breakfast of Champions ...
The Jackson being questioned is not the GB member. He is a long standing elder / CO / DO since 1971 who has operated across various parts of Australia and now is a member of Windsor Gardens Congregation in Adelaide. And apparently has only come across this one instance of child abuse in all that time, if I heard correctly today.
In regard to having no Council, this looks like the protocol for a Royal Commission. The witness is on their own to answer questions.
This compares to the State of Victoria enquiry where Australian Bethel Director Terry O'Brien (due to appear as the 14th witness to this enquiry) had the support of a JW legal council who bailed him out a couple times. Will be interesting to see how he goes flying solo.

the royal commission hearing starting on monday, july 27, 2015 - australian day and date - (and it could go on until august 7th depending on how many witnesses testify) regarding jehovah's witnesses handling of child abuse is supposed to be streamed.. it could be that the hearing will only be audio not video although we were informed it will be streamed.
we'll find out in a few hours.. i live in the central time zone of the us and right now here it is sunday, 3: 45 pm.
in sydney, australia, it is 15 hours ahead of us.
Max Horley just reconfirmed the 2 witness rule. No judicial committee unless 2 witnesses. He said the solution was to ask the accused to confess.
He was asked if he understood that sexual assault would not generally be witnessed - answered yes.
Admitted that it's a 'very sad situation' for the one making the accusation.
Again referred to calling the 'branch' or the 'society'.
